My name is Rebecca Pena but most people call me Beckie. I began my dental journey as a Dental Assistant focusing mainly on pediatrics and it was early on that I felt the desire to truly make an impact. As a native Laredoan I saw the need for proper dental hygiene in my community and knew that my next step was becoming a Dental Hygienist. Therefore I pursued my continuing education at Del Mar College in Corpus Christi, TX and brought my new found knowledge back to my hometown.
I have always had a genuine interest in helping people and remember how much I loved going to the dentist as a child so I wanted to make sure that I could use my own personal experiences to remove patients' dental anxiety and calm any fears they may have. My empathetic nature allows people to open up to me about their dental expectations and I love the feeling when patients experience a full dental transformation and gain that confidence in their smile. In my free time I love spending time at the park or in car rides with my dog Bonnie and I truly enjoy spending time with family and friends.
